Learn more about us, a group dedicated to the Immaculate.
On an unseasonably warm day in November of 1982, AT&T executive Jim Cash led a caravan of 12 men from northern New Jersey to Granby, Massachusetts about an hour west of Boston. Our destination was a Franciscan Friary where we would encounter the irrepressible Fr. James McCurry O.F.M. Father James led us on our first retreat, introducing us to the heroic life and mission of St. Maximilian Kolbe along the way.
We were mesmerized by the zeal of this “stupendous” saint as Pope Paul VI called him and who is more popularly known today as the “Martyr of Auschwitz.” At the conclusion of the retreat, Fr. James led us in a personal consecration of our lives, families and work to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We 12 returned home as official Knights of the Immaculate. The Mid-Atlantic MI was born.
The Immaculate is looking for men with hearts on fire with love for her Son. She herself will mold them, direct them and guide them. She will ensure they are surrounded by brothers who will encourage them and support them. And, when their days are done, they will bear her imprint and she will intercede for them at the hour of their death.
